Cori C. Ray
M.A., LPC

Cori Ray is a nationally certified Licensed Professional Counselor.  She brings over a decade of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults.  She has a Master’s in Counseling and a bachelor’s in Social Work from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Cori combines insight, empathy, and clinical training when working with others.  She aspires to help others heal from past hurts, navigate current life issues, and obtain the life he/she desires. She uses a variety of therapeutic modalities when working with clients.  She has experience in trauma recovery, crisis management, anxiety, depression, self-harm, anger management, life transition, grief and abuse recovery. She is certified in Microcurrent Neurofeedback and uses Life Span Integration as a part of her therapeutic tool kit.

In addition to private counseling, Cori taught suicide prevention for ten years in the local high schools. She served as a board member for Rescue Our Children and continues to teach in a variety of settings related to mental health.

A verse that Cori holds close to her heart is Psalm 40:2 (NIV):
“He lifted me up out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.”

Cori enjoys relaxing with a good book, long walks with her dog, Gracie and time with her family and friends.
