Shelby Sandlin

Shelby Sandlin received a B.S. in Human Development and Family Studies from Auburn University and an M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lipscomb University. Before coming to Trinity, Shelby counseled adolescents and adults in Nashville and Colorado Springs.
Her approach to therapy is holistic, trauma-informed, and attachment-based. She utilizes EMDR as a way to help clients work through difficult memories that may be influencing their current beliefs about themselves. She also has experience and has led training in implementing creativity in sessions when working with younger clients.
Shelby believes that this work is sacred and considers it a privilege to witness the stories and healing of others. She has experience working with individuals ages 12 and older struggling with the effects of trauma, depression, and anxiety.
